These are a few of my favourite things...

Aloo Posto

Made from potatoes and poppy seeds, this Bengali delicacy always makes me salivate. Aloo Posto is known to induce sleep, for obvious reasons, and this one is a must for those lazy Sunday siestas.

Dogs

Bundles of joy! That’s what they are. You might not like them but you can never hate them. As for me, I cannot imagine a world without dogs.

Dance

Love dancing! Simple! Dance is everywhere around us, inside our bodies as well as outside.

Brownies

Rich, moist brownies to liven up dull evenings.

Jewellery

I cannot have enough! Someday, I can open a museum!

Style

Style, be it in clothes, accessories, interior décor or anything else for that matter, it’s a way of life for me. And about my personal style, it keeps changing, comes and goes in phases, like the weather. In this photo: Frida Kahlo, one of the most stylish people I can think of.

Little Corners

Little corners of the house filled with odds and ends or even decorated carefully with arty things… Just fills my heart with pleasure!

Brown paper packages tied up with strings…

Brown paper or any other fancy wrapper, strings or ribbons, I just love gifts. To give or to receive, these are charming little things.

Homes

I have an obsession with homes, be it my own or other people’s. Apart from being my favourite place to be in, I also cannot stop arranging and re arranging my space constantly. Even when I’m visiting someone’s home, I keep the blueprint in mind and imagine the ways in which I would have done it up if it were mine. Crazy!

Folk art

Folk art is the best! Be it from any country or region, I find folk art the most captivating. Each has a story to tell and I like the way in which each object is associated with a particular community and their culture.

Wanderlust

That’s right! The travel bug has bitten and I cannot keep in one place for very long! Nomadic is the way to be!

Water

I just love being in water, swimming, frolicking or just plain lazing, I always feel at home inside water. Maybe I was a Mermaid in my past life!

Applying make up

Be it on me or on somebody else, just love the process of applying make up.

Collecting

Collecting things is always nice, nice little odds and ends…

Coffee and Ciggies

Love the combination; one is incomplete without the other. I just cannot understand this non smoking business going around. Whatever happened to individual choice?

Love

I am in love with love. Next to Oxygen and food, I need love to survive. Love in all its Avatars…can’t do without.

Fantasy

Be it books, movies or art, I am a stickler for fantasy. I have been laughed at too many times as being childish for me to care anymore. What’s without some fantasy?

Needles and threads

A box full of needles, a basket full of colourful threads, hooks, pins, crochet needles, buttons and ribbons, it’s a whole new world. One of the many girly things I like!

MJ

I am not just a fan…I am a MJ fanatic.

Mirror mirror on the wall…

Call me a Narcissist, I know I am! But whenever I am in front of a looking glass, well…I just keep looking!

Loved your list, needless to say, my list is exactly the same!! Except dancing, though, can't dance to save my life, but yes i do prefer watching a dance than a music concert!!
